Footprints hospice believes in the holistic development of an individual’s faculties to ensure successful social and economic development. This creates individual social and economic integration. Footprints Development Stratagies was established to build capacity of the hospice to deliver its services. The goal of the entity is to further provide accredited entry level courses in health and social services as well as in education and training development.
Successful achievements in this area have been the training of community health workers for improving service delivery in the area of community practice and personal development of participants. The following list of stakeholders comprises entities of note in community development and care services in South Africa. Footprints Development Stratagies has successfully completed projects for on an on-going concerted effort to develop skills and uplift the lives of rural communities. Our development stakeholders operate in various provinces of the country and Footprints Development Stratagies has been able to package relevant packages for their unique needs.
Ever since 2009 the education training unit has successfully imparted skills programmes and full qualifications to over 3,490 learners.
GETC Ancillary Health Care NQF Level 1. We are finalising assessor and moderator contracts for the following qualifications for submission to the HWSETA in order to resume training of Community Health Care Work NQF Level 2, Social Auxiliary NQF Level 4, FETC Community Health Care Work NQF Level 4 and Child and Youth Care Work NQF Level 4, National Certificate Community Health Work NQF Level 4.The FDS has two class-rooms on site in which we run our courses and has access to other training space. We are also willing and able to take this training to other areas (in Gauteng or other provinces in South Africa). Partnership can be formed with an interested funder. Indeed it is one of our goals to expand the Education project to reach well beyond the borders of Gauteng.
